Annunciate le candidature ai premi Dorian (Dorian Awards) per film e televisione 2016/17

I premi Dorian (dal protagonista Dorian Gray del romanzo di Oscar Wilde) sono organizzati dall’associazione GALECA (Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association, fondata nel 2008), formata da giornalisti e critici professionisti (LGBT) di cinema e tv che lavorano nelle principali testate d’informazione, cartacee e online, di USA, Canada e Regno Unito (ad oggi più di 170 membri). Tra le tante categorie dei premi, che comprendono anche opere non direttamente gay ma di particolare interesse per il pubblico gay (la nostra ‘gayezza’), troviamo anche le inusuali “Show più ignorato”, “Film più sorprendente”, “Flick Campy dell’anno”. I premi vengono consegnati durante l’annuale ” “Winners Toast”, un party informale tenuto a Los Angeles una settimana dopo i Premi Oscar. Tutte le opere candidate devono aver avuto almeno una settimana di visibilità nell’anno, nelle sale o in tv.

Nelle candidature di quest’anno trionfa “Moonlight” con sette nominations (film, regia, protagonisti (Mahershala Ali e Trevante Rhodes), film LGBTQ, sceneggiatura, film visivamente impressionante ( Visually Striking Film)
