Pedersen, primo leader apertamente gay del movimento giovanile laburista norvegese
Eskil Pedersen is a Norwegian politician and leader of the Workers’ Youth League (AUF), the youth-wing of Norway’s leading Labour Party.
He has been the leader of AUF since 17 October 2010. He was previously the district leader of AUF in the districts of Telemark (2001-2004) and Oslo (2006). He was deputy leader of AUF from 2006 to 2010. Pedersen has previously been active in the organisation No to the EU in Telemark and has been a political advisor to AUF on election campaigns and environmental matters.
Pedersen has studied towards a bachelor’s degree in political science, and studied courses in European and American studies at the University of Oslo.
He was the first openly gay leader of the AUF.
