I VINCITORI DEI PREMI DORIAN AWARDS 2017

Assegnati i premi "Dorian Awards" organizzati dall'associazione GALECA (Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association, fondata nel 2008), formata da giornalisti e critici professionisti (LGBT) di cinema e tv.

"Moonlight", fresco delle 8 candidature agli Oscar (secondo solo a La La Land), che concorreva in sette sezioni ne porta a casa cinque, Film dell'anno (che batte anche La La Land), Film LGBT dell'anno (dove batte gli agguerriti "Quando hai 17 anni", "Other People" e "Closet Monster"), Regia, Sceneggiatura e Miglior attore (Mahershala Ali).

Nella sezione mglior film LGBT concorreva anche l'erotico "The Handmaide" del grande regista coreano Chan-wook Park, che vince però come Miglior film straniero.

"La La Land", un film che piace moltissimo al pubblico gay, che godeva di sei candidature, deve accontentarsi del premio come miglior film di grande impatto visivo (ma agli Oscar c'è chi dice che supererà il record di premi ottenuto fino ad oggi da Titanic).

Nelle sezioni televisive trionfa ancora "Transparent" che vince come miglior serie comedy e, per il terzo anno consecutivo, come miglior protagonista, il bravissimo attore etero Jeffrey Tambor.

"American Crime Story" vince come Miglior serie dramma, mentre la sua protagonista, la dichiarata Sarah Paulson, vince come miglior attrice per "The People vs OJ Simpson".

Il premio "Wilde Wit of the Year", dedicato allo spirito di san Oscar Wilde, è stato assegnato all'icona gay Carrie Fisher, recentemente scomparsa.
