Fucking Different Tel Aviv

Nella terza edizione dell’antologia di cortometraggi, FUCKING DIFFERENT, 16 registi gay e lesbiche descrivono la vita e l’amore a Tel Aviv. Come nelle precedenti edizioni è stato richiesto alle registe lesbiche di filmare la loro concezione e le loro osservazioni sull’erotismo e la sessualità gay, così come, mutuamente, ai registi gay è stato richiesto di esplorare l’amore saffico nella capitale israeliana. I registi avevano piena libertà di scelta per quanto riguarda temi, generi e approccio narrativo ma hanno dovuto attenersi ad un formato e una durata prestabiliti. Il risultato è un mix ben riuscito di drammaticità, documentazione e sperimentazione su un vasto numero di argomenti interessanti. Il film avrebbe potuto risultare una successione di clichés, pregiudizi e descrizioni stereotipate, ma i registi sono stati in grado di evitare queste trappole fin dall’inizio. I film della raccolta lasciano spazio all’imaginazione, sono audaci e assolutamente sensuali (sexy). Insieme formano uno straordinario sguardo sull’erotismo e la sessualità sia maschile che femminile. (Berlinale 2009, tr. G.B.)

the short movie “does not depend upon” was written by me and co-directed with sie gal.
The movie tells the story of 2 young religious “yeshiva” men who fall in love and find it hard to hide it from their surroundings and accepting themselves as gay. The movie takes place on the day that will change their life’s for ever.

The whole movie was filmed in a green screen studio which was the back-round for later inserting of still pictures and drawings.
